Ingredients:
- 1 cup (225g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (220g) packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon (5ml) pure vanilla extract
- 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon (5g) baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) salt
- 2 cups (350g) chocolate chips (semi-sweet or dark)

Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Gently fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a spoon or cookie scoop, drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving enough space between each cookie.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The centers may still appear slightly soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Serve and enjoy the warm, melty goodness or store in an airtight container for lasting freshness.
Notes:
- For extra indulgence, add chopped nuts like walnuts or pecans to the cookie dough.
- For a delightful twist, you can use a combination of white chocolate and dark chocolate chips.
- Feel free to chill the cookie dough for a few hours or overnight before baking for a thicker, chewier texture.
- These cookies are perfect with a glass of cold milk or a scoop of your favorite ice cream!
